News: Great Falls National Park - Greater Spruce Street Revitalization Plan

The National Park Service, called “America’s Greatest Idea” in the current PBS series, has announced that the Great Falls area of Paterson will be the newest of the parks. Value Research Group has been working with New Jersey Community Development Corporation of Paterson and various other organizations in an effort to maximize the impact of the new Great Falls National Park. Richard Polton of Value Research Group is a member of the team working on the Greater Spruce Street Revitalization Plan that was led by the Philadelphia firm of Interface Studio.

As part of our effort, we researched the efforts of medium sized industrial cities around the region that have had successful revitalization program. These “peer cities” have important lessons to teach to planners, municipal officials and community groups on what is working and why.
